TCASHE will work closely with HSLDA to provide legal advice and recommendations regarding homeschool law and legislation. In addition, TCASHE is partnering with other organizations both nationally and regionally, such as the Homeschool Foundation, Supporting Home Educators of Lower Texas Education Region (SHELTER), Southeast Texas Home School Association (SETHSA), and the North Texas Home Educators' Network (NTHEN) to strengthen the Christian foundation of homeschooling throughout Texas. The Home School Legal Defense Association is a non-profit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. regional homeschool organizations in Texas serving local homeschool support
group leaders in over 160 support groups in 88 counties in North and Northeast
Texas. NTHEN upholds the Christian principles under which home schooling
has flourished and our Mission Statement is: “To honor Christ as we seek
to encourage home education by edifying, equipping and informing home school
leaders and the general public.” NTHEN sponsors two major home school
conferences and bookfairs each year in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area as well
